The long awaited outdoor Phillip S. Miller Park amphitheater in Castle Rock is finally open!
Phillip S. Miller Park, which is quite possibly the most impressive park in all of Castle Rock, has been under construction since 2013. The park is being built in sections, and Phase 2 is now complete. Covering more than 300-acres, the park offers a trail network, a climbing wall, zip lines, athletic fields, and much more.
Phillip S. Miller Park’s first phase of construction began in 2013 and includes a large, multi-mile trail network of paved and native surfaces, an adventure playground covering 2.5 acres of land, a synthetic turf athletic field, a zip line course (operated by Castle Rock Zip Line Tours), and an indoor activity center that includes a large pool with lap lanes, water slide and whirlpool.
The grand opening of Phillip S. Miller Park’s phase 2 took place on Saturday, May 14, 2016. Construction on phase 2 began in March 2015, and includes an amphitheater and plaza, and an event center. The plaza includes picnic areas, an outdoor fireplace, play features, and much more.
