The Golf Courses
Black Bear Golf Club
Formerly known as Canterberry Golf Course, Black Bear Golf Club is a unique championship course with more than 200 feet in elevation changes throughout. The dramatic elevations provide the golf course with spectacular views from Pikes Peak to Longs Peak. Carved from a beautiful landscape of ravines and arroyos, the course offers a variety of different challenges for players of all skill levels. This private golf course is a popular choice among locals for its interesting layout and its easy accessibility to and from downtown Denver and Colorado Springs. In addition to the course, Black Bear Golf Club also offers a driving range, an indoor hitting bay, a practice putting green, and a chipping green with elevation changes and a bunker. Colorado Golf Club
When designers Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw went to work on the Championship Course at Colorado Golf Club, they envisioned a strategic and natural layout capable of testing golfers of the very highest ability and hosting major championships. They succeeded on all levels. Golfers of all skill levels will enjoy the challenges encountered on the Championship Course, which features multiple lines of play and approach. The course opened to international acclaim in 2007. T&L Golf named it one of the world’s top 10 new courses that year, and GOLF Magazine named it the top new private course of the year and one of “10 to Watch” worldwide. In 2010, Colorado Golf Club hosted the 71st Senior PGA Championship, won by Tom Lehman. In 2013, the course will test the top women golfers from the U.S. and Europe in The Solheim Cup matches.
The Championship Course stretches up to 7,604 yards and plays to par-72. Visit their website.

The summer comes filled with men’s and ladies leagues, tournaments and events, as well as an extensive junior educational program. Pradera’s Clubhouse, designed by award- winning architect, Marsh & Associates, is distinctly Colorado — open, bright and natural with harmonious character expressed throughout in rich native woods and stone. The Pinery Country Club
The Pinery Country Club features 27 holes of scenic, challenging golf. Having 27 holes allows events and maintenance functions to take place on nine holes without impacting or eliminating Member play on the other courses. The three distinct nines each have their own unique character and offer the following highlights:
The Mountain nine features dramatic elevation changes, scenic vistas and play amongst mature Ponderosa Pines on several holes.
The Lake nine offers the most spectacular views. It climbs from the Clubhouse past Bingham Lake to the 5th green and 6th tee where you can see the entire front range from Pike’s Peak to Long’s Peak. From there, the Lake course tumbles down into the Valley Nine.
The Valley nine is a links style layout in a high-plains setting. This nine has the highest slope rating of the three and features the diabolical 3rd hole, certainly the most challenging hole at The Pinery.
Our Golf Membership includes unlimited use of the driving range, practice putting green and chipping area with practice bunker.
The Pinery also offers a fully stocked Golf Shop, locker facilities and club storage. The PGA Professional Staff at The Pinery conducts group and private instructional programs for adults and juniors, offers playing lessons and summer-long lesson packages. Our Staff also provides club fitting services, offers equipment advice and expert rules information. Visit their website.
