2016 Parker Christmas Carriage Parade is December 10

Bundle up the kids, and make your way to the 2016 Parker Christmas Carriage Parade! Traditionally held on the second Saturday of December each year, the Christmas Carriage Parade will take place on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at noon in Downtown Parker, Colorado.

Who: – The Parade is open to the public.
What: – A fantastic and festive all-equestrian holiday parade
When: – Saturday, December 10, 2016 at noon
Where: – Downtown – on Mainstreet

Activities on Before and After the Parker Christmas Carriage Parade

There is much to do on December 10 besides watch the Parade! After the parade, there will be several festive activities for attendees of all ages. Some of the activities include:

  • Holiday ice sculpting
  • A Petting Zoo
  • Pony Rides
  • A Holiday Farmer’s Market
  • Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus

Participating in the parade and holiday activities before and after the parade is a fantastic and wholesome way to spend a Saturday in December!

NOTE: Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in a NEW location this year at the new Douglas County Library at Parker.

Parker Holiday Carriage Rides

Free holiday carriage rides are being offered in Parker on November 26th, and December 3rd, 10th and 17th. Carriage rides are available on Saturday nights until Christmas between the hours of 4:30 pm and 8:30 pm. Please note that even though there is no charge for the rides, anyone interested in a ride must still obtain a ticket. Tickets are distributed at two different locations – O’Brien Park and the Douglas County Libraries in Parker.

Douglas County Libraries in Parker: 20105 Mainstreet, Parker, CO 80134

When you pick up your free tickets, you will be asked to select a specific time slot for your ride time based on time slots that are available. Rides that depart from either of the two above mentioned locations are round-trip, and are a loop and rides last 15-20 minutes. You will be returned to the location from which your ride originated. Please make sure that anyone under the age of 18 is accompanied by an adult on carriage rides!

Year after year, the Parker community consistently puts on excellent holiday events and activities that are enjoyed by residents and visitors of all ages. The Parker Christmas Carriage Parade and holiday carriage rides are sponsored by several local businesses. If you are interested in being a sponsor of a holiday event next year, make sure to complete a sponsorship application early since some sponsorship opportunities are limited and available only on a first-come, first-served basis. Sponsorships range in price and benefits.
