The warm temperatures, sunny days, and balmy breezes of summer provide the perfect setting for road trips with family and friends, working on that vintage car that’s been sitting in the garage, or even just cruising with the windows down and the radio up. Fuel your love for the great American automobile with two car shows coming to Castle Rock this June and July: the Classic Rock Cruise In and Hotrods in the Village.
Classic Cars and Old-Fashioned Fun from the Vintage Car Club of Castle Rock
This June and July, celebrate classic cars and learn a little about their history during two car shows presented by the Vintage Car Club of Castle Rock. Join the VCC on the Saturday before Father’s Day, June 20th 2015, for a massive car exhibition as unique cars, sleek hotrods, and historic trucks take over the streets of downtown Castle Rock. Over 300 automobiles of all shapes, sizes, colors, and models will be on display for the 2015 Classic Rock Cruise In, celebrating the diversity, innovation, and long history of the car. With live music, vendors, cars, a classic 1950s vibe, and the restaurants and shops of downtown Castle Rock, this free event is sure to be a hit for the whole family. Got a hot set of wheels? Enter it into the Cruise In and you might win. Prizes include best in each class, Best in Show, and even a Mayor’s Choice. The Castle Rock Cruise In Car Show takes place in downtown Castle Rock from 10 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 20th.
Hotrods in the Village
A smaller but no less exciting event, Hotrods in the Village is held each year in Castle Pines Village. With a more intimate atmosphere among the small boutiques and eateries of the Village, Hotrods in the Village allows proud car owners to display their vintage or unusual cars, sharing their passion for the automobile with neighbors and spectators. With live music, trophies, dash plaques, and vendors selling cold beer, this event is perfect for a hot July day. Hotrods in the Village takes place on Happy Canyon Road at Santa Fe in Castle Rock.
The Vintage Car Club of Castle Rock was founded in 2007 with the mission of preserving and restoring classic cars and works to provide information and fun to everyone who loves vintage cars through annual events, tours, and meetings. The VCC is a non-profit with members from all walks of life, from whole families to husbands, partners, or children, who are passionate about automobiles. Vehicle ownership is not required to become a member. If you do own a car, the VCC would love to know about it. All vehicles are welcome from domestic to foreign, stock or modified, sports cars, trucks, hotrods, antiques, and more.
Put the pedal to the medal this summer—join the VCC for cool cars, music, food, and fun in downtown Castle Rock and Castle Pines Village.
